Newmont Goldcorp says Palmer to become CEO from October 1

Newmont Goldcorp Corp said on Tuesday its President Tom Palmer will take on the additional role of chief executive officer from October 1.

Palmer succeeds Gary Goldberg, who will serve as executive adviser from October through March next year.
