Xstrata workers paint trucks blue to fight cancer
Workers at Xstrata’s Mt. Owen coal mine in Australia painted their haul trucks blue in a crusade to raise awareness and funds for prostate cancer research.
According to Mining Australia, the new bright blue Cat 793F truck has already raised $18,500 for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of the country, the largest contribution the organization has received in 2012.
The campaign, initially set to raise about $10,000, received $5,000 from Mt. Owen itself.
