HPY Inaugurates Asia’s Largest Ore Sorting Testing Center

HPY Technology proudly announces the grand opening of its new Headquarters and Testing Center in Ganzhou, Jiangxi, China. This landmark moment follows the submission of the initial design plan on June 6, 2022. After two years of rigorous construction, HPY and its 400 employees finally moved into the cutting-edge modern facility, marking a new era for the company a year before its 10th anniversary.

Occupying a total area of 100,000 m2 with a height of approximately 40 meters, the new HPY headquarters boasts Asia’s largest sensor-based ore sorting testing center, an area covering 26,000 m2. According to HPY’s construction team, this is also the largest facility of its kind to be built in Asia.

The headquarters also includes an advanced R&D center, an administration office, a quality control office, and a comprehensive manufacturing and assembly center occupying 57,000 m2.

Optimization of the World-class Testing Center and Laboratory

HPY Technology Co., Ltd. is a high-tech enterprise that specializes in the research, development, and manufacture of ore sorting machines using pioneer sensor technologies and AI algorithms. HPY aims to provide worldwide mining companies with customized ore sorting process solutions that help achieve optimal grade recovery, reduce energy consumption and emissions, and facilitate the creation of eco-friendly mines.

To achieve this goal, the testing center is equipped with the industry’s ultra-modern technology, featuring additional testing lines and fully automated manufacturing processes. For a company that’s been working with over 100 mining companies and occupying 80% of China’s market share, this will help the company readily expand its ore sorting industrial testing as more global testing demand increases. The incorporation of robotic arms enhances precision and efficiency, improving the machine’s production period by 19 folds per month, setting a new standard in ore sorting and mineral processing machine modification.

Take the ore sample storage site as an example. HPY’s new sample storage site will be an automated warehouse, which means the storage space above the ground level will be utilized to its full potential. Transporting the samples will no longer require manual labor; instead, a robotic cart will transport the samples to the designated storage unit. Organizing tons of ore samples will be streamlined and simplified to a one-man job.

“After these series of automated and robotic upgrades, we think it will demonstrate to both our own employees and our client HPY’s commitment to setting the new industrial standard when it comes to implementing the most professional and scientific testing and production process.” HPY Technology Testing Center’s Public Resource Manager, Alfred Xie, proudly outlines the near future.

Supporting the City’s ESG Plans Through the ‘Sponge City’ Design

The company must receive official recognition and approval to be located in the Ganzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone. HPY Technology has received recognition from the Ministry of Land and Resources of China and the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association as an important contributor to future growth and innovation within the mining industry.

Originally situated at 3 Mannifen Road, its new address is 16 Hubian Dadao, Ganzhou, Jiangxi, China. It is now a convenient 10 km commute from the city’s three train stations and airport, demonstrating the Ganzhou city administration’s incorporation of the company’s development into the city’s economic and technological expansion plan.

Further, HPY Technology’s “Sensor-based Ore Sorting Machine and High-tech Mining Technology Manufacturing Project” began construction in December 2022 and completed the main structure on June 30, 2023, gaining the entrance ticket into the second quarter of Ganzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone Construction Project 2023. The construction project of HPY’s new headquarters ranked first in the entire zone for its speedy construction while ensuring top-notch safety and quality standards. HPY was, therefore, awarded a new van by the local government.

The project aims to industrialize sensor-based ore sorting machine and high-end mining robots. The overall design emphasizes an eco-friendly and human-centric industrial facility, creating a high-efficiency and scientific layout. Employee living areas are planned on the southern side of the facility, while the northern side is dedicated to production.

Residential facilities include two dormitory buildings parallel to Hubian Avenue, with a six-story and an eleven-story building, featuring a cafeteria on the first floor and activity rooms on the second floor. The northern production zone houses three two-story factory buildings, with additional facilities such as a nine-story factory building, a three-story factory building, and a fire water tank and equipment room in the basement.

In line with the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles, the new base adopts the “sponge city” concept, ensuring sustainable water management and enhancing the urban ecological system. This initiative aligns with the Ganzhou government’s push for sponge city development, aiming to create resilient urban areas capable of efficiently managing water resources and mitigating flood risks.

HPY Technology’s inauguration of Asia’s largest sensor-based ore sorting testing center looks to be a signature moment in the mining industry’s advancement of sensor-based ore sorting technology applications. As the company prepares to set up offices in Southeast Asia, Central Asia, and South America, this world-class testing facility positions HPY at the forefront of technological innovation. The integration of fully automated manufacturing processes and robotic systems underscores HPY’s commitment to precision and efficiency. Moreover, the adoption of the water retention system design reflects HPY’s dedication to environmental sustainability and urban resilience. The new HPY headquarters and testing center hopes to set a new standard in ore sorting, paving the way for sustainable, responsible mining practices.
