Rio Tinto in talks to buy lithium miner Arcadium, sources say
The deal would vault Rio into one of the world's largest suppliers of the battery metal, behind only Albemarle and SQM.
Chile’s state-run mining body ENAMI has selected eight companies to test lithium extraction technology in the Altoandinos salt flats in northern Chile, it said in a statement on Thursday.
The companies are Adionics, CADL–Lanshen, Eramet, Lilac Solutions, Rio Tinto, SLB, Summit Nanotech and WaterCycle Technologies, ENAMI said.
