Fury Gold Mines said on Monday that exploration and drilling activities have resumed at the Eau Claire project in Canada’s northern Quebec after a wildfire near the project halted operations.

The Canadian firm said that all workers had safely returned to the site following confirmation that conditions were suitable for operations.

The temporary shutdown, first disclosed on July 15, did not have a material impact on the company’s previously announced Phase 2 drill program at Eau Claire, the gold exploration company said.

Fury Gold added that it is continuing to monitor the situation and remains in contact with local authorities.
